The PowderPuff Girl Question, N° 1...

Recently I proclaimed myself a PowderPuff Girl, a Guerlain PowderPuff Girl to be exact. I was having fun with Sunny of MostlySunny and came up with the name. Btw she's a member, in fact she should be the leader since she's responsible for getting me hooked on the stuff!. I mean Guerlain does make some of the best powders out there (imo) and although some companies are getting close they still have a few steps to take before they equal the legendary beauty house.

Now not to limit myself to one brand I decided to drop the first part of the name. Wanting to create a new weekly rendez-vous I thought of doing something in the lines of Gio from Beautiful With Brains with a question of the week, kind of like, to beat the mid-week blues.

Oh and by the way, PowderPuff Girl is not to be mistaken for The Powerpuff Girls...

Bubbles, Blossom and Buttercup*

So what do you think, should it be The PowderPuff Girl Question or just The PowderPuff Question? I'm still a little undecided here. Definitely a little childish I know but it's all in good fun.

Since I did mention Guerlain, here goes with the first... erm second PowderPuff Girl Question...

If you use one, what's your favorite finishing powder?

Mine... Guerlain Crazy Météorites although when the weather is hot I tend to go for Marcelle compact powder which is more matte.

Sad to say I can see way more pan than on this picture taken about a month ago. I do hope Guerlain makes it part of it's regular offerings or at least brings us something similar next Christmas.

Wheee PowderPuff Girls for the win!

For me it has to be Crazy Meteorites as well! I might go with Perles du Dragon when I need MORE illuminating, but most of the time Crazy Meteorites is enough. I use Les Voilettes for my T-zone most of the time, but ideally I don't use it all over, since it makes my cheeks a little too matte. If you haven't noticed a theme, yes most of my powders come from Guerlain :p

Woot Sunny! PowderPuff Girl it will be!

Erm I kinda knew what your answer was gonna be! :D I'd love to get my hands on Les Voilettes eventually coz it's not available here atm. :)
I was thinking "Guerlain is coming out with a Powerpuff girl collection in the fall maybe? But that's so not Guerlain!" Obviously, I need more coffee in my system. ;p
I still am a fan of silicone based finishing powder. I like the NARS ones both in loose and pressed forms, but also love love the ultra cheap e.l.f. powder. I have the LE Blanc de Perle ballz (won it for the giveaway of our lovely Belly) and love it so much, but I see it as more of a highlighter. ;)

Oh my gosh Lena! Now you really made me laugh! Imagine Guerlain? :D

I have yet to try a NARS powder, I love their eyeshadows and lipsticks. Are you using the latest one the white one? e.l.f. is not easy to find here but sooo affordable! :)
I didn't know there was a different version of the powder, but it is probably the new one out since I just got it in my recent order. I still like the loose powder from NARS or the one from MUFE better, but the e.l.f. one is awesome for $6 a jar. (It leaves a slight white cast, though) ;) Hope you well, Hélène! <3

I meant the Light Reflecting powder, the white one. They do have a traditional tinted powder too. Here we have Marcelle which is quite affordable and makes an excellent powder so I like to alternate with it, saves pennies, it goes for about $10. :)

I love the PowderPuff Girls! It's such a cute name! Much better than my boring QOTW. :) Glad to have inspired this feature and can't wait for more questions! To answer this one, I rarely use finishing powders, but when I do, it's usually an oil-absorbing one from Fyrinnae. It keeps the oil on my t-zone at bay for hours!

Thanks for the link! :)

Remember Gio I told you I wanted to be like you when I grew up? :D I just love your QOTW and this is just a spin on it so all the credit goes to you! xoxo

Now I'm intrigued about Fyrinnae, we don't have that brand here. These days I think it would be a go to for me!
I don't have one or maybe the NARS light diffusing comes close. Way back in the 80's, I finished the Givenchy compact well the non-portable version with the gradation of four different squares. I loved that powder that I had the entire collection from the color correcting, to the regular face color one and the bronzer.

Ooo Olivia! The NARS I've already almost purchased it a few times so I'm sure I'll try it eventually. I'm not surprised you loved Givenchy, I had a compact that I lost recently and not only enjoyed the packaging but the powder was excellent. They have a new loose version that looks pretty amazing too, have you seen it? :)

Still LOL @ Powderpuff girls! I only have the Guerlain Meteorites in Teint Rose, and it's pretty good. I'm trying to use up a few powders before buying new ones, and things are looking good :-)

LOL Lily I'm glad the name makes you smile!

I'm pretty good at using my powders, case and point that Crazy Météorites. :) I'll be looking forward to see which you choose when the time comes for you to replace one. :)
