Every time a bell rings an angel gets his wings.
It's a Wonderful Life was a favorite movie of both André and myself. The classic tale of the struggles of a man who even if he insists on doing things right, for some reason can't make things work. In the end his honesty and strong caring for others are what lift his spirit.
An old black and white movie from 1946! Not André's style, not one bit! It took me more than a few years to have him sit with me to watch it but when he finally did it became one of his favorite movies ever and we would enjoy it every year at this time. I think in a way he identified with George Bailey and rightfully so! In his life there were years of triumph but also some of struggles. What was always constant was the respect of others toward him caused by his contagious positivism.
There was always tomorrow, there was always light at the end of the tunnel...
He was not perfect, no one is but one thing I'm sure of is that if there is a training period for Angels, André went through it at the speed of light and if there was an exam, well, he definitely passed with flying colors!
Part of a new crowd, André's bell has already rung by now I'm sure!
Te l'aime mon'Amour!
Joyeux Noël!
