Excited about Radiant Orchid?

I must admit that last year I felt somewhat lukewarm to the idea of Emerald Green as Pantone's Color of the Year. True, it is a gorgeous color but it can be so in your face that you don't see anything else. I get the feeling that most designers felt the same since we hardly saw any.

Except for a Sephora collection and Ciaté nail kit that came out late in the year, in August, there really wasn't much out there to satisfy the emerald green aficionado.

Radiant Orchid...

Now this one is really talking to me! I mean really!

Oh the possibilities!

My green eyes were not excited about last year's choice but this time around they are! Oh and my nails are too!

What do you think? Are you, like me, hoping there will be more Radiant Orchid out there than there was Emerald Green?

Oh yeah, you're not the first green-eyed girl who didn't dig the whole emerald green thing.

I am a bit torn. Radiant Orchid isn't the EASIEST shade for me to wear, but to be honest I haven't given it a fair chance!

Oh Sunny you could totally make it work! A light blush on cheeks that you gently swipe on you upper lids with the blush brush, I can see it from here! :)

Same here .. I have green eyes and I don't wear green eye shadow well - at all.

Hey Monica, emerald green on our eyes ain't a winning color although there are some green shades that I do like. Radiant Orchid done right? Now that's talking to me. :)

Actually in the US, we saw quite a lot of emerald in makeup, and I bought an emerald liquid liner from Urban Decay that I still like and wear from time to time and I adore Zoya Giovanna nail polish, an emerald shade. However, I agree that emerald is much less wearable than Radiant Orchid. That said, I haven't seen too many looks created with Radiant Orchid yet, but I think it will definitely pick up once spring arrives

Allison, in my part of the world there was way more mint green (which doesn't work too well for me either) than emerald. I do believe Radiant Orchid will me more popular and you're right, we may get to see more of it in the spring. :)

I'm the opposite, I loved emerald green and was less excited when I heard that radiant orchid would be this year's color of the year :-)

LOL I'm not surprised Melissa, you have the eye color for emerald green! But then you can wear practically any color you like! *iz jealous* :D
