Are super high end skin care lines better than what you'll find at your local drugstore? In my opinion, no. Especially here in Canada we are, as I've said before, spoiled. We have access to several outstanding brands from which we can pick an choose what agrees with our skin. Performance? They have it.
Still, I know it's always nice to have a look at what's out there, especially at those extremely expensive brands. I thought I would show you a few.

DRIVES me INSANE. I can't believe the prices on skin care period lately!
ReplyDeleteAh Tracy, isn't it great to know we don't have to spend this much for good skin care? These are way over the top indeed!
ReplyDeleteI've used the exact same products from La Mer and they are amazing. Indeed they were a bit to rich for my oily skin type but they are great anti aging products. I gave them to my mom and they did wonders. I'm also a fan for life of La Prairie products, thei anti aging eye cream is my go to cream for 4 years now. :)
ReplyDeleteTavia I'm glad you like the La Prairie eye cream. I have use one of theirs in the past. Their product's texture are amazing as for La Mer, I've only tried Crème de La Mer and I had the same issue, too rich. :D
ReplyDeleteI'm probably the opposite of many women. I like to pamper my skin with luxury skincare products rather than too much makeup to hide the problems and in time the results are worth the money. Since I've discovered/used La Prairie I honestly can't easily go back to any other brand even though I had the opportunity of testing different skincare products(some of them are amazing considering the price) but at certain age if you can afford to invest in a good face/eye cream the results will certainly worth the effort. I'm proud to say that my complexion doesn't show my age and I can go out without wearing any makeup & still feel great about myself. :) From La Mer I looooved their Oil Absorbing Lotion and Tonic, they are by far the best products for oily/combination skin type I've ever used. Too bad the brand is not available in my country and I can purchase them only from certain duty free shops when I travel. :)
ReplyDeleteIsn't is wonderful when we find what works for our skin? You are now making me quite interested in the La Mer Regenerating Serum. :D
