Curious to know what's in it at all times?
This is my Fall/Winter version:
Non beauty things: keys, wallet, lemon drops (got to have something lemony with me at all times), pens, highlighters, little notebook, sunglasses, a folded nylon bag for unplanned purchases, sometimes a cell phone, sometimes an iPod but, almost always my iPad (best invention EVER) and black leather gloves.
Beauty things: at the moment I have seven different lip products. A bit much maybe? Hmm, well what can I say, I love lipsticks!
Clinique's Almost Lipstick in Black Honey & Black Honey Gloss 2-in-1. This was a special edition. Great product but poor presentation. The markings on the gloss have completely disappeared and the lipstick cap keeps getting off. When I'm done I'll repurchase separately.
Clinique's Superbalm Moisturizing Gloss in 01 Apricot. This I received in a GWP and keep in my purse just as a balm. There's hardly any color to it and because of that I wouldn't purchase the full size.
Clinique's Different Lipstick in Terderheart. This too is from the same GWP mentioned previously so it's one of those mint green tubes. I love this color. My lips are quite pigmented and this color is perfect just to give them a natural boost of color. The bonus is I don't have to use a mirror to put it on. This I will eventually repurchase.
Revlon Lip Butter in Pink Truffle. Although not as moisturizing as a lip balm, it s very soft and comfortable to wear. It s one of my top 10 drugstore finds. Now you have to be careful with it, actually I wonder if being careful even matters. When I apply it I only roll a little of it out of the tube, yet it's broken. Seems the formula is too soft. It's still a good deal but I don't think I'll buy again.
Keihl s Lip Gloss in Pink Rider. Lovely gloss that comes in a tube and again, the color looks very natural on my lips. Great for when I want just a little touch of shiny pinkish color.
Make Up Forever Rouge Artist Natural in N9 Copper Pink. Love, love, love this color. It's my everyday lipstick of the moment, it suits my light warmish skin tone perfectly.
Make Up Forever, Rouge Artist Natural, N9 Copper Pink
Caudalie Lip Conditioner. HG for daytime, I love this product, it helps heal and keep my lips soft, peelies free.
No lip pencils? I rarely use them these days and my lips have a pretty easy shape to begin with. Also, since all these lip products are on the more neutral side, I don t feel the need for it. I guess if I want to start using one again I would probably go for my M.A.C. Spice crayon.
A small two sided mirror from The Body Shop that I got years ago. That's when it's not my small Chanel mirror. That one was a gift when I was selling men fragrances. I used it so much that the logo is starting to wear off.
A few Easy Floss. These look like little tooth picks with dental floss on one end.
A few adhesive bandages. This is a habit I took when my daughter was little and it proved to be quite useful over the years. I've had to use them once to hold an undone pant seem. See it's not only for boo boos.
My daughter is a swimmer and so I end up spending a lot of time at the pool, for training sessions but especially for swim meets. Some pools are so hot, you almost feel like stepping into a sauna when you get there. For that reason I need the following: two hair ties, one brown and one black. I have long hair and when it gets too hot these are a must to get it off my neck! A mini Degree deodorant. Now I'm not much of a "sweater" but again, having to spend time in overheated pools, I have to reapply once in a while.
Tissues and a small pouch of Wet Ones. I can't stand those disinfectant gels anymore and much prefer to get my hands, especially my fingers, clean rather than putting on that alcohol loaded goop.
A mini Caudalie Hand Cream. Another favorite. Great moisture without any greasy feel.
A mini jar of Kariderm Organic Shea Butter. I ran out of my Kariderm lip balm which is a favorite and is nicer to carry around. I use this for dry spots on hands, elbows and especially cuticles. I just sent a version of the lip balm to a friend and I hope she likes it. It's so versatile and if one uses it for lips, it's got a nice mild vanilla fragrance to it.
$4.25 at health food stores and some pharmacies.
Oh and my camera! I do have to take pictures and videos of my daughter's swimming exploits!
My current little bonbons.
