The Sunday Post, Vol. 18...

Is the weather ever going to warm up???

This past week has been windy and grey. The sun did peek through a few times but overall the weather was more on the pitiful side. I'm still not in the mood for spring stuff and so haven't purchased any new clothes yet. It's like nothing is worth my hard earned money at the moment.

Oh well, it'll change soon I guess.

This week's makeup love...

My lack of "springy" inspiration means I'm still doing pretty much the same eye look but this week I used my NARS Fairy's Kiss palette almost everyday and I've been reaching for Dior Nude Blush lipstick in Charnelle along with Clarins Lip Perfector in Candy Shimmer. I think I'll retire my beloved Guerlain Crazy Terracotta for now since I've started to use my regular one in 01 this week with a touch of Madame Rougit blush. I did wear Diorskin Nude Tan Paradise in Coral Glow once but it felt too summery for now so it'll wait a little longer.

Update... Panic is slowly starting to settle in...

Notice how much bigger the pan of my beloved Crazy Météorites compact is getting... This Guerlain PowderPuff Girl is not happy!

Good thing I have this little number to fall back on which for summer is just amazing...

I haven't reviewed it yet but likely will in a few months. Although I love it it's not quite the same as Crazy Météorites and so I have no idea what I will replace it with. My first stop will likely be the regular Météorites which have been reformulated recently.

What I have my eyes on...

Just have a look at last week's edition of The Sunday Post, here... Next Sunday is Mother's Day so I'll treat myself for sure... to what? Sadly I'll have to be more reasonable than I thought and so there will be some hard thinking. Guerlain Terracotta Célébration bronzer is a whopping $84.00 and the Terracotta fragrance is $80.00!!! I was hoping it would be priced closer to the Eau Allegoria which are $67.00. :( I sooo wanted Chanel Sakura blush and Jardin Zen eye shadow quad from the Jardin de Camélias collection but I might have to pass on them since I would really like to get Diorshow monos from the Transat Collection, Cabine and Pavillon. You can read about and see both on my friend Sunny's blog, here. What you see below is a screen capture of her picture.

What I will likely pass on...

What I really, really want...

For your viewing enjoyment...

Dior is spoiling us again with beautiful makeup tutorials using the new colors from the Summer 2014 Transat Collection.

Clearly not for everyone but stunning none the less.

Have a great week everyone! Hélène xoxo

Thanks for the shout-out, Helene! Aren't those videos amazing! I had a lot of fun watching them!

MY GOD YOU HAVE HIT PAN ON CRAZY METEORITES!!! It does look like it'll last another while though. I'm hoping there will be one just as good coming out in autumn/winter!

Wow Helene, You Hit the pan hard!
I think they have one in the regular line up and although it is a bit expensive, you can just buy a refill.
That Bronzer is stunning, I just ordered and can't wait,
I don't think you are missing too much by passing on Chanel's quad though, new ones are much better :-) and they are permanent, so you can get them anytime!

Oh Sara thank you for the info about Chanel I think I may just get the blush, maybe. I know about the Guerlain compact but here it's close to $180 so it's definitely a no go and getting just the refil isn't really an option for me since I love beautiful compacts to much. Maybe one day... :)

Sigh, so many pretty pretty pictures. And THAT PAN.....way to go :D I think the Chanel items are beautiful, but those Guerlain picks are even better. Ugh, be still my beating heart.

Hope you had a great weekend!

Hey Sarah, Guerlain is likely to get all my attention this year! :)

Your poor Crazy Météorites, that seems to have been such a popular item you'd think they would bring it back again for a future collection.
Looks of nice things you have your eye on, I was going to get the Dior singles from the summer collection but after lots of swatching I went for the warm quint, wish me luck trying to wear the orange! :)

Clare, I keep my fingers tightly crossed in the hope Guerlain does bring back a version of that compact.

Can't wait to read what you think of the Dior quint! :)

Gasp! PAN!! I love the looks of that Guerlain bronzer, and I don't even wear bronzers much. I'm glad there is no Guerlain counter accessible to me (they're too far away) or there'll be damage for sure :-)

LOL Lily there are several brands that I'm glad we don't have here but sadly Guerlain is... That bronzer will be mine! :)

Canada must be sending us your weather, as it's been nothing but cold, dreary and windy here too. It's too uncomfortable to get out there and work in my gardens. :( I was in Saks the other day to look at the Meteorites, but the only SA was busy and I couldn't find them in the case which is odd. I did see the bronzer compact and it is quite the looker, but alas too $$$ for me these days.

Sorry about the weather Allison! That Crazy Météorites compact was a special LE release last Christmas so I do hope they'll bring it back in one shape or another. There is a refillable Météorites compact but that one is way too pricy. :(

Goodness, I finally pedicured me feet and it's STILL only 10 degrees *cries* At least we had sun today and supposed to be sunny all week, I was beginning to feel like I was drowning!!!! Awful! I hope you do treat yourself to something special on Mother's Day - whatever it is!!!!! I have heard such bad things about the Meteorites reformulation---I'm sad - I think that Shoppers Drug mart may have some of the old formulation still - I want to get those if they have them. I've heard the new ones are very powdery and softer and you get 5 gr less product!!!

Oh Linda I know about the new Météorites and I'm quite sad because I was thinking about getting the Doré version and it's true, they do look more powdery.

Let's keep our fingers and toes crossed and wish the weather warms up... at least by june! I don't quite mind it if it's cool but do hope it won't be as rainy as last year now that was horrible! :(
